What a terrific turn out of talent last night for New York Madness: 007 at The Cherry Lane’s Cherry Pit! I had the great pleasure of working with both director Kristy Dodson, and playwright Judith Leora on a piece entitled, Fumes. Glad to see I can now classify all the trips to the nail salon as research for my role as a mysterious Russian manicurist!
Stirred, not shaken.

Recording the Green-Wood App!
What an honor to portray the late Kate Claxton on Green-Wood Cemetery’s new App! David Miller and I represented the Artful Conspirators last week on an invitation from Green-Wood to contribute to their new media project. I will let you know when it is up and running!

A Reading with Richard Kind
What a pleasure to be included in the reading of a new play for the Relational Medicine team entitled, Waiting Room, and featuring actor Richard Kind. I was really blown away by the humanity and humility Mr. Kind brought to the room, and only hope to work with him again someday!

NEW YORK MADNESS
Dates:
Language: English Location: 64 East 4th Street, NY NY 10003 |
Synopsis
New York Madness is a raw and unpredictable show of short plays by an ensemble of emerging playwrights. Each night has a Theme which is decided on by the Guest Artistic Producing Playwright. The Theme is given out a week before the event and then the collective works by all the writers in an evening kaleidoscope that cultural moment. It is a snapshot of a particular time, reflected in an immediate way, from our unique perspective. Not only is Madness for emerging writers to have the opportunity to develop a strong relationship with a live audience, but it is a forum for all writers to explore the boundaries of modern theater.
The primary goal of Madness is the development of modern American playwriting, within a structured exploration, advancing the mode of storytelling in theater for the writers who are at the bottom of the totem pole. We get by with a little help from our friends, as our Guest Artistic Producing Playwrights lend their time and talent to support our mission.
New York Madness is affiliated with The Unit, Minneapolis Madness at the Playwrights Center.
